YOUNG ARTISTS is a reseach project conducted by Professor Henry Jenkins and
graduate student Vanessa Bertozzi of MIT's Comparative Media Studies program.
We set out to investigate how young artists use digital technology in expressive
ways. Our findings thus far have revealed adaptable young people creating their
art through hybrid means. The aspects of these young artists' work—research,
production, distribution, and communities—all blur the line between the
virtual and the real.
