Mickey & Vanessa's Wedding

                   August 23, 2008, Rehoboth, MA

Thank you for coming down to New England! The wedding will take place just over the Rhode Island border into Massachusetts. Providence is a great little city to explore and Rehoboth is, well, even smaller than most of you can imagine. Rehoboth comes from the Hebrew word for "crossroads" and indeed, you'll need to keep rt. 44 and rt.118 in mind when traveling to our wedding. This intersection is the only stoplight in town!

Because parking is limited, we will be carpooling to the ceremony at Goff Hall (which also houses the Blanding Library) in the old village of Rehoboth, MA. It's located at 124 Bay State Rd. We kindly request that you leave your car at Vanessa's parents' house at 161 Anawan St (rt.118) in Rehoboth, MA. We'll be carpooling.

After the ceremony, we will be returning to the reception at 161 Anawan St.

* Update* We made a mistake on the invitation. If you are driving to 161 Anawan from 44, it's on the right not the left side of the road.

The map below shows the short drive:

If you are flying into Providence's TF Green airport, you'll need to drive up 95, bear to the right onto 195E past Providence and then take rt 44 to get to Johnson & Wales Inn, and then further to 118 to get directly to the ceremony and reception in Rehoboth. This is about a 25 minute drive. See below:

If you're flying into Boston's Logan airport, you can drive down to Rehoboth in about an hour. You'll get off 95 at Attleboro to 152 and wind your way down 118. See below:

Amtrak also runs to Providence Station.

For bus folks, the Chinatown Bus does not stop in Providence. You'll need to take Bonanza (now owned by Peter Pan).

There's no public transportation from Providence to Rehoboth. So let is know if you'll need carpooling!

Guests of the Johnson & Wales Inn who need transportation from the airport, train, or bus can call the front desk of J & W (508-336-8700) and make a reservation on their shuttle van. They will need your arrival time from the flt/train/bus. It is $12 per person, suggested tip $3. The front desk checks schedules to see if things are running on time.
