According to the MIT club members, animators'
character sketches work particularly well for cosplaying. Articulating
characters in the round is necessary for both practices.

Stephanie explains the thrill of finding an
obscure character, "Certain characters everybody and their
dog has cosplayed." The whole point in cosplaying at a
con is to meet people. Photography acts as friendly overture.
By asking a fellow cosplayer if you can take her picture and
her posing for you, you are showing each other a mutual respect.
