Dan surmises that “MIT students are
into making things. There are a lot of engineers.” The
first time he made a costume was at the MIT anime club workshops,
where they showed him how to do it.
The character he’s doing is called Fayt from the Star
Ocean computer game. |

| In building your costume, the point is to
be as exact as possible. And "building" presents a
peculiar problem: how do you materialize costumes that work
according to real life laws of physics when their origins are
in gravity defying worlds? |
