Dan cuts fabric, ref art by his side
Dan surmises that “MIT students are into making things. There are a lot of engineers.” The first time he made a costume was at the MIT anime club workshops, where they showed him how to do it.
The character he’s doing is called Fayt from the Star Ocean computer game.
 
In building your costume, the point is to be as exact as possible. And "building" presents a peculiar problem: how do you materialize costumes that work according to real life laws of physics when their origins are in gravity defying worlds?
